White Floorboards

White floorboards seem to cast a strange spell over me.  Because the concept of a white floor seems so ridiculous on so many levels (cleaning, maintenance etc), I often wonder whether you would have to be certifiably mad to ever have one.  But the look...... my goodness!  

Pearl Pinkie & Sea Greenie

I found the book!  Amazingly I unearthed it amongst a whole pile of old stuff at my Mum's house.  Brings back so many lovely memories.  It was given to my brother and I by our next door neighbours and is inscribed "A favourite story for favourite children".

A Little Bit of Sunshine

Here are some shots that bring a little bit of warmth and summertime loveliness into my very chilly world.  The water shot reminds me of a book I owned as a child called 'Pearl Pinky & Sea Greenie' about two beautiful rock sprites who lived in the ocean....

I am a little bit obsessed with inspiration boards and walls - I love the idea of an entire wall covered with polaroids of pretty snippets.

I Love White

I have such a love for white interiors....  I can't help but be seduced by the airy brightness that is so gentle and calming for the soul.  I particularly like the contrast of the raw grey floorboards in the house above - I could live here, quite cheerfully!

Favourite Cupboard

I found this little gem in a random 2nd hand shop in Newcastle.  I got half way back to Sydney before turning around and driving all the way back to buy it... I've loved it since I clapped eyes on it. It now sits in my studio and houses all my art stuff.  

I love Roses

It's Saturday morning, I have Meg Hutchinson playing in the background, a cup of tea in hand and beautiful roses from a boy.  Does life get better than this?

Serengeti Safari House

Images of elephants roaming the African plains provided inspiration for this Eden Brae display home that has a distinct safari feel.  The interior echoes a by-gone era of hunters and pith helmets.  I particularly loved the moc crocodile skin wallpaper we used in the lounge and the earthy tones of the master bedroom.  

Palm Springs Glamour

Here are some pics of a house I recently did that was inspired by a combination of the serious glamour of Palm Springs and a touch of pared-down Armani style.  I really love how the gold adds warmth and life to the interior.
