Here is the most recent addition to my desk... a button jar! My obsession with buttons is well documented on this blog - I love them - in all shapes and sizes, colours and finishes.... just looking at the jar is happiness! Quirky little obsessions are my specialty x

Hi Angela. I have one just like that! One of my early childhood memories is playing with the buttons in my mum's button jar and my grandma's...the tradition continues. Must get my daughter on to it!
Very pretty!! I love the look of a jar of buttons. When my nana passed, my mum got all of her buttons, and there are SO many. I like to go through them sometimes and wonder what clothes they belonged to or where they came from. Lovely pics doll.

My mother always had a button jar that on rainy or stormy winter days she let us play with. We always fought over the 'diamond' ones for our necklaces. Kept us busy for hours.

Oh...I love jar of buttons. Many years ago when my grandmother passed away,(I was 17) we came across a large tin with buttons. Needless to say that was the item I had to have. Now they are in a large glass container similar to yours only much larger.
