Unearthing beautiful houses that I could cheerfully live in is one of my favourite pass times. The latest discovery is a gorgeous beach cottage located on Fire Island, New York (the name alone would have me moving there in a shot). I love that the interior is just a little bit rustic and imperfect... and according to the article in
Country Living, the cottage is "tiny" (I think they need to visit my apartment to experience the true meaning of the word!). Isn't it heaven?

Lots of personality in that cottage. And clearly, as you say, Americans have quite a different definition of 'tiny'. I like imperfections in homes - it adds character and keeps it real. It makes the home feel lived in. One of the things I am hoping to achieve in my build is that it doesn't scream - "Look at Me! I am brand new!" I want it to look instantly old and loved. Mmmmmm...there's a challenge. Looks like your baby is quite comfortable. Maybe he/she is waiting for Spring?
