Look what just happened to find it's way into my house over the weekend.... ANOTHER vintage trunk!
I found it beneath a whole pile of junk at a garage sale just down the road... the best $5 I've spent in a long time! I'm going to stencil Leo's name on the front and he can use it as a toy box (... just as soon as I can figure out how to make the rusted edges a little more child-friendly!!!). I swear every child that enters this house needs a double Tetanus shot!

Haha, ooh how did it find it's way there I wonder? Very nice. It is a pretty blue, and a nice little addition to your collection!
oh my goodness you lucky girl
if you can't figure out the childproof thing .. send it my way.. I'll run straight out and get my tetanus shot.. be worth a sore arm don't you think? hehehehe
ciao xxxxJulie
Oh tetanus, the dead arm needle!! I'm sure there is a 70y.o. grandfather out there with ALL the answers to hinges, rust & safety. I have been known to drive things like this up from Canberra to Sydney for my FIL to fix, so i don't damage it & of course, i lack the tools & skills. He spends half the time telling me to not buy crap (crap = gorgeous vintage bargain) then does an amazing job & finish, with a frown of course. Love Posie
Oh, you lucky bowerbird! Do show us once you've done the stencilling - a gorgeous idea, Ang. J x
