The Vintage Addiction

Sometimes I wonder if you all tire of my obsession with vintage paraphernalia... in particular, my love of vintage suitcases, which upon reflection, do seem to appear in a rather startling number of posts!  I'm afraid that I have to plead total helplessness - you see, it turns out I'm an addict - a problem I've had since I was about seven when my mother gave me an antique flower press as a gift (other little girls wanted Cabbage Patch Kids... I wanted vintage lace doilies!).  No matter how much I write about it, no matter how much I surround myself with it, no matter how many gorgeous pictures of tatty old stuff I post, I just can't satisfy my craving for VINTAGE!  I'm considering starting a support group... anybody care to join?

Love the look. Have a pair under a console table and they add the perfect touch!!

Oh dear, I must have caught the same disease, because I happily admit to being a vintageholic.

Sometimes I find myself buying these old things just so that they won't be thrown away. How tragic is that?

Gorgeous image!

To the brim with vintage cases! I love them all. The bedside stack is my fave, I can see why you're addicted : )

Hi Angela,
I'm torn !!! I love the suitcases but I'd be tempted to fill them with clothes and display old books on them! Am I in? Can I still be in VA?

P.S Thanks for your kind words about my blog. You Rock !

I'll join your support group any day! I'm a vintage girl through and through. As addictions go, I think this is a pretty good one! I've lost count of all the vintage suitcases I own. Great photos!

I'm signing up in a hurry. Angela, the first image with the high stack of your vintage treasure trunks is my instant favourite. Gorgeously put together. Be consoled, you're not alone. Hugs. Gosia

Those vintage suitcases! I have my mom's set she used on her honeymoon, they are so special - I move them around a lot. I have used them beside the sofa, in front of the sofa, and in the bedroom as a nightstand. They are so versatile and always a conversation piece, complements abound. Vintage has soul.
