Who says you have to have a theme? I love both these images for their simplicity... surely that's a common thread!
Maybe it's the sombre little face of the owl or maybe it's Bambi in the background, but I'm really drawn to the quirkiness of this image. When you breakdown the components of the styling, it's incredibly simple but it works beautifully.

Funny -- have had that top image saved since forever and love to look at it nearly daily -- there's just something about it that's so charming . . .
